Moving Out ...

I have decided to make the switch to
http://pakshet101.wordpress.com/ (also known as pakshet 101)
from my previous blogsites (albeit same content), madcowdisease.blogdrive.com (also known as the world of madcow) and fromthecheapseats.motime.com (also known as From The Cheap Seats). I haven't blogged since my last post in either (even in my Yahoo 360 profile) which was my birthday post, and, man, it's been that long as well as I've been through a lot as well.
I just hope this will be the last time that I'll be moving blogs, though.

Buon Compleanno To Myself!

First of all, happy birthday to me.

Another leaf has turned -- meaning, another year older.

But despite the "excitement" comes the reality that I'm not getting any younger

How I wished I would've celebrated it with much simplicity, without the
hype like "Libre" and stuff, as like last year, when I did it all by
myself (except with that of my family which is natural, and for this
year I'll be treaing my family when I'm free from all this)...but it's
because of the family atmosphere inside the office that made me cave
down -- I mean, back-off -- with my original plans of... (more)

Is all I'm counting before I get my reprieve from this bondage called WORK...

But I still have some unfinished business to do...as well as some release papers and stress inducers...

But like what a friend said through text, konting tiis na lang.

IT'S SABBATICAL TIME!

This is the time I'm really counting now before the sabbatical starts. I'm looking forward for time to lapse that fast.

I have already started packing my bags and buying personal stuff so I'd be off straight after tomorrow's work day.

Now, the thing I
have started worrying with is how I'd spend my budget for this
wisely. Otherwise, it's gonna be one hell of a break for me.

But first I have
to endure the pressures of this baby, including the last-minute spikes
courtesy of our client who's beta-testing the team.

The Countdown Starts Now

Two more days to go, and I'm gonna be off to my "anticipated" three-day sabbatical.

A much well-deserved one for someone who feels overworked (and soon underpaid and bypassed).

Lately though, although I can
still handle the pressures here at work, I'm suddenly feeling that I'm
boring myself to death already. Especially whenever I do nothing
in most of my work shift (since the redheads are asleep at my work
hours), I tend to either oversurf the sites that I know of or look as
stupid as a rock all the time, due to the fact that my eyes are glued
to the PC monitor for almost eight... (more)

I'm
now on my second day of my only attempt yet to work a straight stretch
of "business" days ever. This ought to be due to my impending
leave that I'm already wishing that it were now.

But instead of looking forward or getting motivated to do my job, I'm
going nuts. I have started to feel like I'm getting dumber due to
loss of useful activity at work, especially during lag time, when no
questions come in (apparently because the all-knowing dudes in the land
between the Pacific and Atlantic north of the equator sleep during my
work hours) and all I would do is either compose a... (more)

Leyte Landslide: Yet Another Tragedy Struck Again

With
the Philippines not yet fully recovered from the effects of the
February 4th Wowowee disaster, as well as the continued political
circus in which its end won't be seen in the forseeable future and the
Shabu Republic bust last week in Pasig (coincidentally the same city
where the stampede took place), the nation is again in the limelight --
this time due to a landslide brought by heavy rains in the town of St.
Bernard, Southern Leyte. That landslide buried three barangays
and has deemed these as being "wiped off the map", according to a
congressman.

However, what's worse is... (more)

As creative as this may seem (because of the dog caption, but that attempt at creativity is a big kudos for me), the message says it all. Especially the last sentence.

From the mailbox of someone who is loveless...

Love is like magic and it always will be

For love still remains lifes sweet mystery

Love works in ways that are wondrous and strange

And there is nothing in life that love cannot change

Love can transform the most commonplace

Into beauty and splendor and sweetness and grace

Love is unselfish, understanding and kind

For it sees with its heart and not with its mind

Love gives and forgives

There is nothing too much

For love to heal with its magic touch

Love is the language that every heart... (more)

My Thoughts On Last Night's PBBCE First Nomination

(Photo lifted from retzwerx 's site)

Last night's first nomination was real tough. Until just earlier
I even had the hard time on who to freakin' campaign for (as if it were
an election) and have the one evicted... For me why I'd rather have Mang Rudy to stay than Keanna or Rico... Keanna -- although she does have entertainment value, sya na rin ang naging source/reason of discord among the housemates, ang pinagmulan ng issue, and that she utters double-meaning words na malamang maging source na naman ng problema between PBB and MTRCB... Rico -- primary reasons... (more)
